RE-NEET UG 2026 City Correction Window Open, Exam City Change Last Date 21 May
Students appearing for RE-NEET UG 2026 have received another important update from the National Testing Agency. NTA has started the fresh exam city preference and present address modification facility for candidates who will appear in the re-examination scheduled on 21 June 2026.
The latest correction opportunity has been provided because several NEET UG aspirants changed their location after the earlier examination process was cancelled. Candidates can now log in at the official NEET portal and submit updated city preferences before the closing date of 21 May 2026.
NTA Starts RE-NEET UG 2026 City Modification Facility
Through the public notification released on 15 May 2026, NTA informed candidates that limited corrections related to examination city selection have been activated online.
During this correction period, candidates are allowed to update:
- Current communication address
- First preferred exam city
- Second preferred exam city
The online window will remain available from 15 May 2026 and will close on 21 May 2026 at 11:50 PM.
If any candidate does not make changes within the specified timeline, the previously submitted city options will continue to remain valid automatically.
No Additional Charges for RE-NEET 2026 City Correction
NTA has clearly stated that students will not have to submit any extra payment for modifying examination city choices or updating their address details.
However, the agency has restricted corrections only to specific fields. Candidates can edit only:
- Present residential address
- Preferred examination city options
No other information in the application form can be edited through this facility. After 21 May 2026, NTA will not accept any further requests related to city correction.

Why Fresh City Selection Is Important for Students
The reopening of the RE-NEET UG 2026 city preference facility is considered a major relief because many aspirants shifted their residence after the previous NEET examination cycle ended. Several students moved back to their hometowns or returned to coaching hubs and hostels.
Because of these location changes, selecting a suitable examination city has now become extremely important for smooth travel and better exam-day management.
Before locking preferences, candidates should consider:
- Distance from current location
- Ease of transportation
- Availability of nearby accommodation
- Travel safety
- Convenience during examination day
A carefully selected examination city can reduce unnecessary stress and help students focus better during the examination.
Important Advice for RE-NEET 2026 Candidates
Candidates should complete the correction process as early as possible instead of waiting for the last day. Official websites often experience heavy traffic close to the deadline, which can create login problems or slow submission issues.
Students should also continue their NEET UG preparation seriously because the re-examination date has already been finalized for 21 June 2026.
